A few weeks ago, my mom and I traveled to the outskirts of Austin, Texas for a girls weekend get away.  We went for the sole purpose of shopping at the Country Living Fair.  This spring marked the first time that the event was held in Austin.  It is well known and highly regarded in Ohio and Georgia. http://www.countryliving.com/cl-fair/country-living-fairs

I love traveling with my mom.  She is a great listener and I can be a phenomenal motor mouth!  We always have the best adventures and create the most precious moments.  We laugh together.   We share dreams.  We are best friends.

During this trip, I shared my heart with her.  She encouraged me to take chances, to take the risk and to jump out there and do what I felt God’s still small voice instructing me.

Something I have discovered over the past six weeks is this:  don’t do something God warns you about, it will never be blessed;  but if He does call you, instructs you, or opens a door, you better go and go Now!-  That is where your best life is waiting!  I am learning the difference.  The difference is powerful.

On Saturday of shopping the fair, I found this amazing vendor, http://www.byelle.com/,  I fell in love with Elle Binder’s work and felt moved to have her do a custom piece for me.  Maybe something with a key scripture like Jeremiah 29:11 (“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”)  That night was when I shared my heart with my mom.  The next day I went back to Elle’s booth and found the perfect ring right then and there…”Take Chances”  I wear it on my thumb everyday!  It serves as a reminder to have a little faith, to jump out there and take chances!    Matthew 17:20 “Because you have so little faith.  Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.  Nothing will be impossible for you.”
