Well, the first Before & After post was such a big success that I decided to do a series.

I cannot express how many times I have seen something at a flea market and thought one of two things…

1.  how in the world did they think to do “that” with “that”!  or

2.  this is so cool, but what can I do with it?!

So on a recent shopping excursion, I had an epiphany.  I use the word excursion, because these days an excursion represents a very short period of time that I get to escape and do some shopping!  Long gone are the days of shopping trips, for now I suppose.    Well, I could do a whole other blog on shopping and trips!  Whew!

Okay, so back to my recent excursion…I found a new little spot in Dallas that I just adore.  I have to warn you in advance though, if you go, plan on spending a couple of hours in this shop because there is so much wonderful “stuff” packed in that it takes multiple rounds to explore each & every knook & cranny!!  It is Curiosities of Dallas.

It is a really cool, quirky shop owned by Jason Cohen.  Any ways, I found an “object”  that I immediately thought “hmmmm what could I do with this?!”  It fit into my vintage finds category, it fit into making it into a jewelry item and it was unique- a common item, but to be used in an extraordinary way.

So here are the before & after photos, can you figure out what the “object” is and its common use?!

So did you figure it out?  Isn’t this fun!

This necklace is available for purchase.  It is a one of a kind Dee Dee Style creation, $45.  You can find Dee Dee Style on FaceBook and Etsy.  You can find this piece on Etsy (see link below).  Thanks for shopping! (even if it is just an excursion)  😉
